Is CDA ClearPath a paid product?
Yes. The practice bank is paid digital access. The public diagnostic lets candidates see the question style and explanation format before unlocking the full bank.
What do I get after purchase?
You get the CDA ClearPath bank of 150 original CDA-style questions, including 135 standard multiple-choice items, 15 scenario items, explanations, timed mode, missed-question review, and subject-area scoring.
Does it include study tools beyond questions?
Yes. CDA ClearPath includes a study planner, setting focus guide, portfolio checklist, and exam-day guide to help candidates decide what to review next.
Is this fully self-serve?
Yes. CDA ClearPath is hands-off exam prep. The product is digital practice, scoring, explanations, and readiness tracking without appointments or uploads.
Is this an official CDA credentialing product?
No. CDA ClearPath is independent practice-test prep. The questions are original practice items mapped to CDA subject areas and competency themes, not official exam questions.
Is there a fee to take the official CDA Exam?
Current Council information lists the initial CDA Credential application/assessment fee as $525 online. The CDA Exam is part of the official credentialing process, not a separate product sold by CDA ClearPath. After approval, candidates receive a Ready to Schedule notice and schedule the CDA Exam through Pearson VUE. If a candidate does not pass, current Council guidance lists retakes at $125 per attempt, with two additional attempts available. Always verify current fees with the Council before applying.
Does the official CDA already offer practice materials?
Yes. The Council publishes free CDA sample exam questions and offers official study materials. ClearPath is not a replacement for those resources. It adds independent original practice, timed review, missed-question review, explanations, and subject-area scoring so candidates can get more repetition.
Does CDA ClearPath compete with the official CDA?
No. The Council is the credentialing organization. CDA ClearPath does not issue credentials, schedule the official exam, or replace Council requirements. It competes in the study-aid category by giving candidates a simple way to practice more before exam day.
Why buy ClearPath if free CDA sample questions exist?
Free samples are useful for seeing the format. ClearPath is built for the next problem: knowing whether you are ready. The full bank adds more original practice, subject scoring, timed mode, explanations, and missed-question review so candidates are not left guessing what to study next.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The diagnostic and question bank are designed for phone, tablet, and desktop review, so candidates can practice in short sessions or sit down for a longer review.
